Hoffman Building Technologies is seeking engineering graduates to train as future sales or application engineers for direct digital control (DDC) systems used in commercial and industrial heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:
Basic knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage a frequently changing workload
Strong sense of integrity and business ethics
The training program is divided into the following segments:
Hands-on field experience assisting project managers, programmers, and technicians in the design, installation and commissioning of DDC control systems
Classroom and self-directed training on HVAC systems and equipment
Classroom training and self-directed training in project estimating, team selling techniques, plan and spec interpretation, and understanding the nuances of the construction industry
Practical experience working with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors under the supervision of experienced sales and application engineers
After successful completion of the training program, the candidate will be placed in one of the Hoffman Building Technologies' offices
